Adobe LightRoom 3 Preset for Instagram "EarlyBird" Effect

Everybody likes the photo effects in the iPhone App Instagram. I especially like the EarlyBird effect.

So here is my attempt to achieve this effect in Adobe LightRoom 3. Download now.

Here are some sample output from the preset and Instagram for comparison. Keep in mind that the output this preset produces is a close approximation of how it will look if the same image was processed in Instagram.

The advantage with this preset is you can always tweak the output to your liking while you’re in LightRoom.

For optimum effect you will need to crop your photo into a 1×1 aspect ratio cut.

On the left is the LightRoom output, on the right is output from Instagram. A border to the LightRoom output was added using Photoshop for the purpose of this comparison only. The preset does not add a border.

    Hi Simon, I´ve installed the earlybird effect but I don´t know how to make it work. Do I need to put in a LR folder?
